Many of us have days (especially Mondays and “hump day” Wednesdays) when we just don’t want to get out of bed. There is zero motivation and we believe nothing positive will get achieved that day. That said, here are a couple of thoughts to hold onto when you are having “one of those days”:
1. There is a reason for today.
Don’t just go through the motions. It may not be your best day ever, but with the right attitude, something very positive could happen today!
2. Be prepared for whatever the day holds.
Sometimes simply “participating” in a day can bring great results. Again, it might not be the business deal that will allow you to retire forever, but just being in the game is a much better option than watching from the sidelines.
3. Be thankful for the things you do have.
Find someone or something every day that you are thankful to have in your life. If it is a person, write them a quick email, note, or call them on the phone. It will not only make them feel special, it will make you feel pretty great as well.
4. I only control things that are within my control.
Don’t worry about “outside influences” or decisions that are made without your input/consent. That is very difficult to accept many times, but try to focus on those things where YOU have control.
5. My day is today.
You have a choice every day to make it what you want it to be. It is the simplest form of “free will.” Choose to make it the very best it can be!
Each day is a “blank canvas.” Paint it as a masterpiece!!!
That’s the bottomline…
“Change…Part Nature…Part Opportunity”
