This week in Charlotte, Cox Group and power industry clients attended the COAL-GEN conference.
The mayor of Charlotte, N.C., Patrick McCrory, will open the Keynote Session of the 9th annual COAL-GEN conference and exhibition to be held August 19-21 at the Charlotte Convention Center. Mayor McCrory will welcome the estimated 4,500 attendees to COAL-GEN, being held for the first time in Charlotte and hosted by Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
COAL-GEN, which is owned and managed by PennWell Corp., is the largest conference and exhibition for the coal-fired power generation industry in the world. The show annually draws power industry professionals, public and private electric utilities, consultants, government officials, regulators, scientists and researchers from the U.S. and around the world.
